When and where did principle photography take place?
Shooting took place over five days from October 10-14 in Queensland, Australia on the Gold Coast. The exterior scenes were filmed over two nights in an abandoned dirt quarry at Andrews that has been awaiting property development for the past few years. All interiors were shot over the remaining three days and evenings in a small warehouse in the suburb of Currumbin.
Five days? Why such an ambitious shooting schedule?
Each of the five groups creating their graduating film was allocated one week for principle photography to ensure all the films would be made on time. Due to the costs involved with transporting and accommodating our actors from Sydney, catering for such a large crew and the expenses that come with hiring locations and equipment among other things, seven days was not feasible.
Approximately how many hours were spent on set each day?
For principle crew members, anywhere upwards of 12 hours was spent on set each day or night. As very few crew members had worked for such long periods of time and at night before, it certainly took its toll by the end of the week. Jase Shepherd (Producer) went 24 hours without a wink of sleep and although, in hindsight, he realizes that this can be dangerous, it is easy to lose track of time as Gorilla filmmakers.
Why the Fuji Eterna 500T?
The production required a high speed film stock to cope with the low-lighting situations throughout filming, and the 500 Tungsten was most appropriate.
What was the budget for this film?

How did you secure the services of acclaimed actor and voice-over artist Nick Tate?
We approached his agent with the script and thankfully, there are still some people out there who will give students a fair go. Nick loved the script and suggested his son Tom might be suitable for the role of Adam. Nathan (Director) and Jase (Producer) checked out a sample of Tom's work and decided that, not only was he perfect for the role, but having him act alongside his father for the first time was a great opportunity for all parties involved. We think this relationship contributed significantly to their impressive performances.
How did you create the heavy rain seen in the film?
A combination of rural fire brigades and a water tanker for hire equipped with cannons.
